Report to Constituents

I hope you all had an enjoyable summer. With September upon us, it is time to get back into the routine of children back in school, shorter days and another session of Parliament.

My second summer as a Member of Parliament, it was busy as my team and I worked in our communities to serve you and your family.

The 100th Anniversary of the Calgary Stampede allowed me to attend many community events and stampede breakfasts within the riding. These events provide wonderful opportunities to meet constituents. Many of you shared your comments about the economy, the steps our government has taken to make communities safer and the need to keep moving forward to ensure Canada is seen as a global leader.

I also met with numerous and different stakeholder groups in my Calgary office. At the beginning of summer, I once again met with Community Association Presidents to present a community funding infrastructure initiative enacted by our government to assist associations in meeting their needs and ensuring that you, the resident, will continue to have a vibrant community

Going forward, I will be meeting once again with MLAs and City Councilors on those issues important to all three levels of government: helping our communities

Ottawa

I anticipate a busy fall session of Parliament, one focused on continuing to create jobs, stimulate growth and plan for long term prosperity. I look forward to returning to Ottawa to continue to represent Calgary Centre-North.
